you are going to join the party, respect a few house rules:
- There is currently a 3 post/day/person suggested limit.
Please limit yourself to 3 posts per day. This keeps the overall traffic
on the list to a reasonable level, and prevents suddenly popular topics
from overwhelming subscribers not prepared for hundreds of messages.
- NO HTML posts.
- NO attachments.
- NO forwards.
- NO one liners.
- Take personal issues off-list rather than filling the junkies list
with bickering and in-fighting.
- DO NOT quote the entire message when responding, only the important
stuff. This also involves trimming off headers, footers and sig
lines.
- PLEASE read every junkies list message before responding to any.
- PLEASE try to distinguish between FLUFF (light content) and LTA (lighter than air, no content). FLUFF is fine. LTA is frowned upon.
- PLEASE be respectful of the other listies. Before you send any response
ask yourself "Do 308
other people need or want to read this?"
- GOOD IDEA - join the list and lurk for a while to get a feel for list
protocol, then introduce yourself.
It's not a newsgroup or a chat room. It's an email list. Think, post, and have fun, but please do all three. Please take note: By default,
the Reply-To address of each message from the list is to the list not the message author.
